Mentoring
As you embark on your Data Science or Big Data projects I can provide mentoring and workshops to support you during the different stages of the project. The mentoring will typically be face-to-face at key points of the project. In addition to these, phone and email support is available throughout your project.

Oracle Data Mining (2 days)
Learning how to build Predictive Models using the Oracle Data Miner tool. Over the 2 days we will walk through the various stages of your Oracle Data Science projects and you will learn how to Explore, Learn, Build, Test and Apply Data Mining models using the Oracle in-Database features and the Oracle Data Miner workflow based tool.

Oracle Data Mining in SQL and PL/SQL (2 days)
This course is aimed at people who have completed the 2 day Oracle Data Miner training course. This course will cover the in-database ODM feature using SQL and PL/SQL. The same topic areas, that were covered in the 2-day ODM course, will be covered during this course and will also cover additional topics deploying your data mining models, etc. You will work through examples of how to use the data dictionary views, the PL/SQL procedures used by ODM. In addition we will look at some of the other in-database techniques that you can use in your data mining or data science projects.
Oracle R Enterprise (2 days) ** New course from August 2015
Learning how to use the R Technologies provided by Oracle to access and analyze your data, gaining insights and achieving a competitive advantage. The course will commence with examining ROracle for accessing your data before moving onto Oracle R Enterprise (ORE). You will learn the main components of ORE, what to use and when to use it, how the transparency layer works, creating and running ORE scripts. how use the embedded ORE feature, and how to build predictive models using the ORE and the in-Database Oracle Data Mining algorithms.

Statistics and Analytic Functions in Oracle (2 days)
Do you know that Oracle has 250+ Statistical and Analytic Functions in the database. Most of these come as all versions on the Oracle Database and you do not need any additional licenses. Over 2 days we will look at exploring the most commonly used statistical and analytical functions in the Oracle database. These will allow you to enhance you Reporting, Dashboards, Analytics and even your applications with more feature rich information.

Predictive Analytics for Managers (2 days)
This course is aimed a IT managers in an organisation who are considering using data mining. The course will cover the main concepts of predictive analytics and data mining, the data mining lifecycle, data consideration, the roles and duties of the various people involved in the project, the tasks required at each stage of the lifecycle, issues relating to running of a data mining project. A summary of the main data mining techniques will be given and how they can be used to solve business problems.
Dimensional Modelling and Data Warehousing (2 days)
This course covers the core concepts of Data Warehousing and Dimensional Modelling. The main components of a data warehouse will be discussed, the general architecture of a data warehouse and the ETL process. The course also covers introduces the key concepts of dimensional modelling (based on Kimball). These dimensional modelling concepts will then be applied to a number of exercises . The final part of the course will look at some of the database features available in DBMS to physically implement a Data Warehouse.
